We made turkey burgers again (big surprise) and oven fries for a side. This is definitely the best recipe I’ve used for oven fries. They are crispy on the outside and really fluffy on the inside. Highly suggested!
Oven Fries (serves 2-3)
Ingredients:
2 large russet potatoes or 3 smaller russet potatoes, cut into wedges
5 tablespoons oil, divided
salt and pepper
In a large bowl soak potatoes in hot water for 10 minutes. In the meantime, preheat the oven to 475F.
In a roasting pan or 9 x13 cake pan pour in 4 tbs oil. Make sure the oil is evenly coating the bottom of the pan. Sprinkle oil with salt and pepper.
Drain potatoes and pat dry with paper towels. In a dry bowl toss potatoes with remaining tbs of oil. Put potatoes in oiled pan, making sure to make only one layer.
Bake for 10 minutes, rotate pan and bake for 10 more minutes.
Take potatoes out of the oven and flip them over carefully. Bake for another 15 minutes, rotating pan at least once.
Once they are golden brown, place potatoes on paper towel to absorb excess oil. Season with salt and pepper if desired and serve hot.
