Saturday- my favorite day of the week! Sleeping in, no work…and big, hot breakfast! This morning I made simple wheat french toast, bacon and cappuccinos (with our new espresso machine!).
Wheat French Toast (Serves 2-3)
Ingredients:
3 eggs
3/4 cup milk
1 1/2 tbs sugar
1 tsp+ cinnamon
8 slices whole wheat sandwich bread
Preheat a large skillet with a bit of butter.
Beat together eggs, milk, sugar and cinnamon with an electric mixer or whisk in medium sized bowl. Make sure the mixture is smooth and combined well for best results. Dip a piece of bread in the mixture and flip over to evenly coat. Place dipped bread into the skillet and cook until brown on both sides. Repeat with all slices. You may keep them warm in the oven at 250F if you are making a large batch.
